Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Does anyone find higher tier accounts worth it (Chase Sapphire, CitiGold, WellsFargo premier)? What perks do you value?

Alliant Credit Union has no fees, free incoming domestic wires and a certain amount of ATM fee refunds. A 2.5% credit card also with 1k electronic deposit and 1k balance in the checking account.
I'll second Alliant, been a member for about 15 years now and been using their 2.5% card as my daily spender for 2 or 3 years. Their bill pay system isn't all that great, it works but the interface is clunky, otherwise they're a good day-to-day banking solution. Once you're an established customer, they allow $100,000 ACH pulls and $25,000 ACH pushes. ACH pulled funds are available next day. They also accept same day ACH credits, so I can push Funds from Fidelity in the morning and they're credited to my Alliant account before CoB. When you open a checking account, they give you a free box of checks. I opened mine in 2009, they sent me a box of 200 and I still have over 100 left, but I haven't written a check in quite a while.

Also, there is no $1k requirement on the electronic deposit requirement to get the 2.5% cash back tier, it just has to be one electronic deposit per month, doesn't even need to be a direct deposit. I've set up a monthly pull of $0.01 from my Fidelity CMA to my Alliant Checking and maintain the 2.5% Tier no problem. The Alliant Visa Signature 2.5% Card still has most (all?) of the traditional Visa Signature benefits that most other banks have removed (Extended Warranty Protection, Purchase Security, Secondary Rental Car Insurance, No Foreign Transaction Fees, etc). Only downside I've found is the 2.5% is limited to $10,000 per month, after that it goes down to 1.5%. This works fine for me, but might not for everyone.

The monthly ATM reimbursement is up to $20, including international ATMs, but they are also part of the AllPoints and COOP ATM networks. Over the last 10 years or so, I think I've only hit an ATM once or twice where I got hit with a fee, and that was reimbursed no problem in 2-3 days. So the $20 per month limit is more than enough for me.
