Assuming Xfinity is in your neighborhood, consider their prepaid Now internet at $30 for 100/10 Mbps, or $40 for 200/10 Mbps. This is the regular price, not a 1 year introductory price. Surely enough for basic streaming and browsing. I would take it over wireless based services.
Thanks so much for this tip. I just switched from Xfinity at $65/mo to the Now plan at $30/mo.

Also have Visible unlimited ($25/mo) which is Verizon network that works as internet hotspot that I use when power is out or when traveling. From what I'd read, using cell service hotspot wouldn't be sufficient for home internet unless you use little data.
