Based upon podcast recommendations in another topic in this forum I found out about 100's of podcasts.

This is the first one I decided to listen to:

A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/a ... 1437402802

It started in 2018 with there now being 238 podcasts in total.

Yesterday I listened to all the 2018 podcasts -- 13 of them. 225 to go!

They are each about 25 minutes.

Today I have available ears from about 10 AM to noon so will be able to listen to another 4.

Initially I was just going to listen to the ones that were about songs I like. But I decided to start at the beginning and see what happens.

Overall, I'd grade it a B.

The narrator has a HUGE ego as he has a terrible voice and if he wanted a better quality product he would have used someone else to speak it. It's sometimes difficult to understand him. Also, another example of his huge ego is him spending way too much time talking about the songs rather than having us listen to the songs [This was also a major, major problem with Ken Burns's 1994 Baseball series as he subjected us to watching a lot of old, old, old people talking rather than letting us hear them talk over showing us actual baseball content.). I'm in the section -- now in the 50s -- where I've never heard many of the songs he is presenting to us so it would have been better to have heard more of the songs rather than just snippets of them.

I do not agree with all the generalized assertions that he makes.
