Seeking advice after car accident.

I was waiting at a red light, when it changed to green, the other driver, traveling in different direction, made a left turn towards me. A T-bone, total loss of my car. According to a female sherif who was at the scene, he admitted fault. I received 12k from my insurance minus deductible. No injuries, which I informed both insurance companies not knowing I did not have to share that information with the other insurance. Now the other person is not admitting any liability and his insurance sent me a Release document which reads in part as follows…

For and in consideration of the sum of One thousand dollars, MY NAME HERE hereby fully and forever release and discharge HIS NAME HERE, who does not admit any liability to the undersigned but expressly denies any liability, from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action or suits of any kind or nature whatsoever, and particularly on account of all injuries known and unknown, which have resulted or may in the future develop from an incident on or about the XX of XXXXX, 2024, at or near ADDRESS OF INCIDENT HERE, 99999. The undersigned agrees to be responsible for and to satisfy out of the proceeds of this settlement, any and all liens, known and unknown, and/or subrogated interests, for medical treatment, health care and related expenses, and attorney's fees, incurred by, or on behalf of the undersigned, for any bodily injury arising from the accident described herein above. The undersigned hereby declares that the terms of this settlement have been completely read and are fully understood and voluntarily accepted for the purpose of making a full and final compromise adjustment and settlement of any and all claims, disputed or otherwise, known or unknown, on account of the injuries and damages above mentioned, and for the express purpose of precluding forever any further or additional claims arising out of the incident described above.

What bothers me is that now I have a financial burden that I didn’t have before. My car was all paid off and now I had to purchase a new car and have to deal with car payments for the next 5 years. I’ve been calling lawyers for advice, but nobody has any interest in dealing with a non-injury case like mine.

Should I get the 1k, sign the release and forget about it?

Perplexed here.
