Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Anyone retired early?

I've been told that many times before but I'm not sure what else to call being financially independent (the day I quit working) and being able to do whatever I want every day of the year for the rest of my life while my spouse continues to do the job she loves to do and will probably never stop doing? I'm open to your suggestion for the "proper" term.
SAHH or SAHD if you still have kids in the house.
Wouldn't one need to "stay at home" during the day to be referred as such? Neither my kids nor I are at home during the day. One is in college, the other in in junior high and I'm out doing things I enjoy.
