I was thinking of selecting the Vanguard 2030 fund VTHRX vs the 2025 VTTVX fund for that ROTH even though we will be in our retirement years. Is that logical? What would be an alternative fund that we wouldn't have to manage in the future.
Our Roth accounts are all Total Stock Market, set and forget. I made this choice because I think it has the highest expected growth of the three funds that I normally use (Total Stock, Total Bond, Total International) and I would like to get the most growth possible in Roth. I hold fixed income and international funds in tax-deferred accounts. It looks like you have room in other accounts to do something similar, if you want.
