We went out that way last spring break with my boys, albeit older, 16 and 13. We stayed in Lititz at a Tapestry collection by Hilton, old chocolate factory refurbed into a hotel, Something different that was fun, next to a little park.
The town of Lititz was very nice to stroll around, window show, went on a pretzel tour and lots of nice restaurants. We went to Hershey one day and it was not great, way understaffed and lines were longer then in the summer, left after a few hours.
Fox Meadows Creamery was a little out of town but worth the drive; they had something called a baked fox which was a hit with everyone.
We’ve been to Shady Maple before too but probably won’t go back. The novelty was interesting but the food was what you would expect at a huge buffet.
