Personal Finance (Not Investing) • When should I start worrying about tax deferred ?

Your welcome - if you have the patience they will be a great help.
FWIW - with you added numbers Toddthebod likely has the best answer.
Toddthebod thinks everyone should contribute to tax-deferred.

I, on the other hand, think Roth contributions should be started or Roth conversions done. Sure, you will pay higher taxes now, but deferring more will ensure you will always pay higher taxes in the future.

Let some of your future growth grow tax-free (in Roth).
We have done and are continuing to do some Roth conversions where they make sense.
Please show me the math for the OP - I did not model this one but from a quick look he is not yet a candidate.
