Personal Consumer Issues • SONY Receiver No Aux Port

When you are using RCA to RCA cables, make sure you are plugging the RCA cable ends that go to your Sony Receiver into the RCA jacks marked as IN (vs OUT)! (For either CD IN, MD/Tape IN, Video 2 Audio IN or Video 1 Audio IN). And of course the assumption is that your Sony Receiver is actually in good working order (what do you use for normally - to listen to what device?)

Also, what phone do you have? (to test things out, depending on what kind of cables you have for your phone, it is possible to connect a phone directly to the Sony Receiver to test things out).
I checked and I was plugging into the IN v out.... It was in decent shape - at least the speakers worked just fine before adding this Bluetooth device to thru those RCA ports. I didn't try the CD port.

My iphone 14 can't connect via cables to the device but I tried it via Bluetooth - as though using the Bluetooth Receiver as a "speaker" and no go. It did connect but all went quiet, so maybe that's indication the bluetooth receiver is not working right. It's considered a "Bluetooth Adapter" though so maybe it's not meant to be used as a speaker though it does have a "speaker" type surface on the top of it....
