All the schools in Utah have. I guess check with where you are applying.

I know for a fact BYU doesn't. I haven't called any others, but I suggest you try. I read the website and it almost implied that you had to fill it out, but I kept looking and looking and never saw them say it actually was required. Turned out it wasn't.

A quick glance at the University of Utah website has similar phrasing to BYU.

Basically what the BYU page said. But when I called they were very clear that a completed FAFSA would neither help nor hurt my student in getting a merit scholarship.
