If you do hit Gettysburg and decide to take 81S, New Market VA would make a good stop, you pass by the VA Civil War Museum that’s located on the New Market battlefield, it’s right on the side of the highway. I keep swearing I’m going to stop there but we seem to always be in a hurry to get where we’re going.
