Got married at age 29 (about 15 years ago) and we combined our finances right away. My wife makes a bit more than me, and although I'm the person who takes care of the day-to-day finance stuff, I always include her in all decisions. For example, we go over the credit card statements each month and we decided together how much of our emergency fund should be in a MMF vs total stock market fund.
