Whether it is a purchase of hardware or payment for cell service.
That sounds about right. Just know that mobile phone carriers are excluded (coded as telecom) so it won't work if you are buying a phone or accessories online from your mobile phone carrier (e.g. Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc.)
The mobile phones, streaming, and related MCC have been removed from the exclusions from the Online Purchase 3%/5.25% category in the latest version.
