Gas appliances are here to stay and consume less power. I prefer them for cooking and heating water. And really it's all about what I want (as the consumer). If you have any gas appliances, such as furnace, water heater, dryer, or stove add in circuits capable of powering electric equivalents. Electric is the power source of the future (ignore how it may be produced).
Make appropriate changes to accommodate (future) solar panels.
CAT8 is the latest Ethernet wiring standard. It may be further upgraded before you install your wires, stay alert.
Have we bumped up your budget enough?
Agree with solar panels.
I would say Cat 8 wiring is not the wiring standard to consider. No one needs it or uses it anywhere (even in commercial settings), and if you really care about future proofing, just run fiber. Cat 6A is plenty futureproofed and can handle 10 GbE speeds.
