But it's not like they all just suddenly dropped dead. Indeed most people don't seem die that way. Instead they get diagnosed with cancer, have cascading heart problems, etc. Enough that they are acutely aware their retirement will be cut meaningfully shortEither way, the people who died, have no regrets; they're dead.
That could easily be countered by "I imagine people who retired earlier and lived well beyond their life expectancy regretted not having the extra money."
