My advice to everyone: stop it with the "regret" worries. Regret is not going to kill you, even if you have it. Furthermore, "regret" is full of assumptions about what would have happened if you had taken another course. You don't know what would have happened. And finally, "regret" does not honor the complex decisions that you made in the past but boils them down to one "do it" or "don't do it" decision. Decisions are complicated, and past decisions you made were probably taken after much consideration of the circumstances at the time. Respect and honor your past decisions.
