I have written a long-read post elsewhere about this, as I have been looking into the tax situation in detail over the past week to ensure that I choose the best option. I do not want to paste the text here, as it would be probably too long, but I have posted it on Reddit (zero replies to date) - I would be grateful for your thoughts!Beware of adverse tax consequences of Accumulating Funds. In the UK for example you never hold them in a taxable account.

I am not sure I understand this point correctly. In the country of my domicile, I do not pay any capital gain tax after more than 1 year of holding the security, so that should not be a problem, I hope, especially with time as I will be invested in these funds for hopefully two decades and more.Yes I would rebalance periodically. But not if that means you would pay tax on crystallised gains (that you cannot offset with losses).
