Unless you have a compelling reason to switch to the MacOS (there is an app for it that you use all the time that is not available for Windows), it probably isn't worth the hassle to switch. Macbook Air is a very nice laptop, but not nice enough to offset the small learning curve from Windows. Just find a nice Windows laptop instead--there are many in the $600-$700 range.
