Groucho Marx story:
A trader asked where he invested his money.
Groucho replied, "I keep my money in Treasury bonds."
The trader scoffed, "They don't make you much money!"
Groucho retorted, "They do, if you have enough of them!"
I have a quasi Liability Matching Portfolio. I put (now up to) $4M in various fixed income (some domestic, some unhedged international, some municipals) and won’t really go above this amount. I don’t adhere to a percentage based allocation; I figure that the fixed income might come in handy some day. I don’t hold them for growth or income.
