Sorry, I was only thinking of those who choose to not enroll in Part B and stick with the FEHB plan and Part A. Except for the exceptions I noted previously, I'm just mystified as to why anyone still chooses that route. I know it was common in the past. I don't understand that choice now with the Advantage plans. You are one of maybe two I have seen on this group, so please continue to update with your experiences with FEHB Medicare Advantage. This thread was revived to ask if anyone had signed up for the new FEHB Advantage plans.
I take it that I'm the only one?
I certainly understand why someone wouldn't want an Advantage plan if they are in high IRMAA brackets or simply don't want to deal with pre-authorizations. For the rest, I am curious why anyone would choose to drop Medicare altogether and just stick with and FEHB plan. I see no advantage to that.
I have never heard of anyone on FEHB dropping Medicare altogether (both Parts A and B). However, if they were still working, I have heard of some not enrolling yet in both Part A and B, but not if they were a retired annuitant. I would be interested to read any reasons for also dropping Part A, or not enrolling in it at all, and just having FEHB only.
