You may be interpreting "three fund portfolio" as literally meaning any three funds, without necessarily following the traditional "three fund portfolio" mix. Which is okay, just not what most Bogleheads think of as a three fund portfolio. Through the years people have taken some liberties with the original three fund, but I'd say you're somewhat far out on the "liberties" scale.Sorry, I know you are trying to tell me something, but I didn't get it. If you can elaborate, that would be great.You're associating 80% VTI and 15% bond and 5% TIPS/Cash with "a three-fund-portfolio"???
