I have a BIL that constantly falls for sales tactics. He has never listened to reason and every time his predictable outcome materializes he externalizes the blame. I was to the point that when he told me he got an indexed annuity, I just acknowledged his comment and moved on. No point in educating someone who does not want to be educated.Ha. I can't say I've completed convinced them to stay away, but at least enough to take their time, and talk with others (who are advisors not agents), and hopefully they'll see that their advice is very different...Has BIL decided to cut ties with the salesperson, or is BIL still hoping the salesperson has this one weird trick and several other suggestions, number three of which is genius?
