Apparently the OP consigned the RV and didn't use it for only a few months during the summer? I'm not even as far south as the OP and never used mine in the summer either, even when it was readily accessible. There's probably a usage pattern difference between younger and older owners, where the older ones want to travel more when many younger people can't. Of course there can be some exceptions, like the oft-referenced journey to Alaska. You clearly said "None of that matters."
Nobody said "expenses don't matter." The OP went into RVing knowing that it was an expensive lifestyle and understanding all the costs you mentioned; they merely made a (mis?)judgement that they could make their RV experience a few thousand dollars less expensive by getting what they thought was an appropriate price for their existing RV. The costs you mentioned will mostly continue on with the new RV when they swap this one for it, and it's not like they can't use the one they have now in the meantime.
None of that matters. Unless maybe someone is fulltiming, the RV is purely a lifestyle purchase; virtually nobody claims they can justify an RV based on cost.
Also, the expenses for a Class C and a travel trailer are significantly different. And you can't just wave that away by saying "doesn't matter, lifestyle choice" when the OP is obviously sensitive to the financial implications of the situation, as evidenced by the fact that they walked away from an offer because of only $7K. On top of that, they didn't continue to use it in the meantime like you mentioned. They had it sitting in a lot up for sale.
I don't agree about the expenses between a TT and Class C necessarily being significantly different. When I bought a TT I had to buy a truck specifically to tow it; at the time purchase price for the truck and trailer were similar to a Class C, maintenance on the coach and chassis were similar, storage similar, fuel costs similar. Now if you compare a tiny teardrop being pulled by a small crossover someone would already own and maintain anyway then I can see expenses being different.
What I'm saying is that the OP signed up for all the RV expenses like the ones above. My "doesn't matter" referred to the OP having decided to incur those expense items no matter what. That isn't going to stop them from shopping each one and trying to spend as little for each as possible.
