I funded a few MYGAs from Americo using funds from a Fidelity IRA. No issues or delays. At one point I took free withdrawals and transferred those funds back to the Fidelity IRA. No issues except Americo “lost” a check on the way to the mailroom. Ultimately I used the proceeds to purchase another (quqlified) Americo MYGA since rates had risen.
Thanks. So when you took the free withdrawals, you complete a form on Americo and instruct them to send the funds to Fidelity?
No I downloaded the forms from Americo, filled them out and uploaded them to Fidelity’s TOA website. After a week or so Americo sent me the same forms in the mail which I signed and returned to them.
