I had no issues moving a substantial amount from Vanguard to Fidelity - Just one account; a taxable brokerage account
- I did download my cost basis from Vanguard before i did the transfer for backup if I needed it
- I believe IIRC that the cost basis showed up a day or two after the assets showed up at Fidelity
