1. Try running at 76 versus 74 for a couple of days, and see if you’re comfortable there. When we moved into our newly purchased, 20 year old home, we were running the AC temp too low and felt clammy. Bumping up the temp improved our comfort and that’s where it’s been. Higher temp should move you away from dew point.
2. The blower system may be taking fine mist off the evaporator coils. The vents with highest flow would get more of it, and it doesn’t take much. This has been our case. So I’d check for moisture and mold in the ductwork near your registers.
3. What does your AC maintenance/ tune up involve? 30 - 40 years ago, it was standard practice to clean both the outside condenser coils and the inside evaporator coils. Many technicians now days will take readings, and only clean the condenser coils. They avoid climbing into attics and tight spaces to clean the evaporator coils. I cleaned mine this year and my spouse thought things were dryer and more comfortable. (We live in Gulf coast region and have the worst humidity). Clean system will be more efficient, improve humidity, and help keep mold in check in ductwork and other parts of the house you haven’t found yet.
