My belief is to get what you want if it's not going to strap you financially. WiFi 7 may future proof the computer just like a "better" video card would.
If you don't use WiFi for a desktop and game playing it won't matter. I don't use WiFi on my desktop, it is wired. I don't game but about 5 years ago I bought an off the shelf no name brand (I never heard of it before) and it has ran flawlessly.
