Just a follow up - as i am learning - the brokerage is showing a cost basis that seems to have changed over the past few months? 2 question below:

Cusip 91282CNS6

Cost
$2000 .....amount
99.009902......unadjusted price
1.00108....inflation factor from auction
99.12.......adjusted price
20 TIPS bought
1982.34 ..cost basis per brokerage 7/31/25
1995.53... cost basis per brokerage 10/16/25 - why is this different?

Market Value
20 TIPS bought
1.00738 historical inflation factor per brokerage
101.243 last price per brokerage - where does this come from or how is it calculated?
2039.80 market value - agrees to brokerage website 10/16/25

thanks again for the help !
Cost basis will include the up-to-date inflation adjustment. I don't know if I agree with doing it that way, but that's what Fidelity does.
