Personal Investments • 60/40 to 50/50?

Saying just 85/15 doesn't mean much if the 15 is large enough to cover x years of expenses and a 50 to 60% bear market won't impact your lifestyle. Or some combination of SS, pensions and fixed annuities allow you to go 85/15. In essence, the 85 would have a good chunk of benefactor risk in it. Or perhaps one of you or both of you are still working…
15% covers 4+ years of withdrawals.
60% Bear would be painful. 30% would not be.
No annuities, microscopic pension.
Neither one of us is working.
