I've not seen much discussion of it in any topics in this forum. Generally, the focus is on expected yearly expenses plus known large ones to come in the future. But little discussion of much could end up being spent on Long Term Care.Maybe this is a topic for a sepperate thread or even a Wiki. I would welcome other Bogelheads thinking on this. I have no answers that I am confident in,other than work with the "averages." You are correct LTC planning could suck all available resources, and that would be no solution either.I made a first wild stab at it and the amount ended up consuming ALL my investments!
Maybe I need to start a topic here to gather information about what people have seen these costs actually be.
I went from thinking I had 30 to 50 times annual spending covered to thinking I might not have enough!
