So, is there a better answer for the purpose of the call that will get a live person? "I'm on fire!!"? "There's a bomb in the building"?
Make a professional sounding email, polite, state the issue and you’ve exhausted other avenues and really would like some help. Include your phone number. You will likely get a reply or a returned call from a highly empowered customer service type within 1 or 2 days, that is highly motivated to solve your problem.
It is 100% by far the most effective way to resolve such problems when the normal avenues fail.
Of course, it may or may not work in this instance with this company but chances are high it will.
