If your drug needs are minimal and you yet you wish to maintain creditable coverage to avert the possibility of future late enrollment penalties you may want to investigate whether your state offers a SPAP.
SPAP = State Pharmaceutical Assistance Program
SPAPs typically have very low yearly enrollment fees and (at least in my state) cover drug costs on a sliding scale based on income (perhaps not an ideal arrangement for a typical Boglehead).
They do maintain creditable coverage although in your situation they may not be preferable to a zero premium Part D plan.
