Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Medicare Has Determined a Blood Test is “Not Medically Necessary”

My understanding is that if a test is not covered, the lab is supposed to tell you beforehand. They will give you a consent form such that you agree to pay the charge. If they don't give you a form to sign, the lab "eats" the cost.

It is possible the rule has now changed and I am no longer up to date. (I have signed the form in the past and paid upfront.)
