Thank you for clarifying. I couldn't remember which document contains which "version" of the benefit. The "Benefit Verification Letter" that one can generate in their online account contains the true benefit amount. The letter from the SSA showing the benefit amount, Medicare deduction, etc. that contains a section titled "How Much You Will Get" shows the amount you will actually receive and reflects the small reduction of up to 90 cents per month.Like Chip Munk, I calculate the benefit amount as Social Security does. My results for the benefit amount rounded down to $0.10 have been the same as the full monthly benefit before any deductions in benefit verification letters from Social Security. My results for the net amount after deductions have been the same as what has been in letters from Social Security with "your benefit amount, your Medicare premiums, your IRMAA".
