I agree that a 10-sigma or 25-sigma event is not something that happens hundreds of times a year....
You all might already know this, but...

I learned only today that "10-sigma" and "25-sigma" are just metaphors for "unlikely" and aren't meant to indicate an actual probability (10 sigma = 1.523970×10e-23 so yeah, less than a hundred times per year).
