I have an HVAC system that is now just over 10 years old. I neglected getting it serviced for the first several years, but for the last 2, I get it serviced twice a year -- once for AC and once for furnace, in the hope that I will catch anything that is on the verge of failing before it actually fails.
Whenever they come, they end up recommending additional work.
This time they recommend these when they came in to service the furnace:
1/ Flood Protection - Bundle of 2 Float Switches:
Prevent water damage and ensure the safe operation of your
HVAC system by installing a float switch.
2/ Surge Protector (inline):
Protect your HVAC system from power surges and voltage
spikes with the installation of an in-line surge protector.
3/ iWave Air Purifier:
Particle Removal, Ionization
Am I making a mistake by choosing to skip them?
