I’ll try make this not a gloat post, but my last two days is a synopsis of 6 months freedom from work:
1. Achieved a bucket list biking ride, something I’ve been trying to do for a while!
2. Yoga class. Man, do I need to get better at this!
3. Dance class. Love this class! So much good music, movement and fun!
4. Made dinner or at least helped both days
5. Figured out some kid college stuff, including financial aid appeals
6. Both evenings catching up on live sport, that I love, til past midnight.
7. Able to catch family/friends both evenings in a social setting.
8. Hot breakfast made for kiddos
9. Took an afternoon nap both days
10. 18k+ steps & 3500 calories burned each day
NONE of this above would have happened if I was still working. It’s hard to capture what you miss out on when working.
I was super lucky employment ended right around the time nw was around 25X and DW is still working ( both late 40s).
It’s easier to think about the what if/negative aspects of not working vs. the positive.
Godspeed![🙏]()
