Thank you for the warm wishes. I think my retirement will be starting with quite a bang. My brother turns 80 in April and is traveling from India to visit his son in Perth; and my sister turns 75 also in April, so I convinced her to go from India to Adelaide where her daughter lives. So we are going to Australia for a big family reunion / birthday party in Adelaide, and my brother and his family will meet us therw. And my daughter, SIL, twin babies are coming with us.
Planning a few days in Sydney and Cairns, along with family reunion in Adelaide. Already started researching if we can take 19-month old twins on a 90-minute catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef (apparently yes, and they have a submarine and a semi-submerged viewing platform on the reef pontoon for people with little kids !).
So retirement is going to start with a big trip to Australia. I will need some solid stay-at-home time to recover after that trip !
