Thank you to ALL of the responders! Thanks to you, I've figured out the whole SIM vs. eSIM question.

As a few of you mentioned, yes, my SE supports both a SIM and eSIM. What I did was converted my SIM to eSIM. I am now waiting for Xfinity to unlock the phone. I was told that could take 24-48hrs, and then I'll be free to move to a new provider!

I'm going to go with Mint, 12mo @ $15 a month for the first year, then to $30/mo after the promotional period.

Thank you for the tip to capture details from my Xfinity account (PIN #, etc) - I grabbed a screenshot of that while in the store, so I think I'm all set for the transfer after the phone is unlocked.

I'll follow up on this thread after the transfer is complete.
