Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Best Practice: Aging Parent Accounts to Paper vs Paperless?

Paper statements have been invaluable to us, successor co-trustees as we attempt to track down my parents’ assets. They didn’t share much info while they were alive so now we are tracking down whatever we can via paper statements.

It was helpful to have a box of paper statements and all financial docs, in creating spreadsheet of my late SisIL’s assets so she could work with her estate attorney in her final days.

I’d vote that paper can be very valuable to survivors.
