I have 4 grandchildren (13, 12, 12 and 1) and am funding 529 accounts for each (equal contributions). I started late for the first two, probably around kindergarten. The third one came with marriage. My goal for each is $50k and I plan to stop contributing when they graduate HS. The third one probably won't get to $50k since I just started it in 2024. The baby should easily blow past $50.
