It's good to see this from an original forum member, confirming what I've been thinking. I've been reading the forum since 2009 (ignore my "joined" date), so I don't go back as far the Diehards era, but I've commented before about my observation of the evolving consensus here. The most common advice seems to have gone from "age in bonds" to "110 or 120 minus your age in stocks" to just "100% stocks until age 40 or 50 or maybe forever."...If the question had come up here or on Diehards years ago, there'd be dramatically less support for 100% equity. Of course now we have Bogleheads claiming they've held 100% equity continuously forever, and I can't argue with that, but either they weren't here or were strangely silent for a very, very long time.
