Oddly, I was using it just in the last few days and it worked fine for me.* I was using Safari 26.1, and Safari isn't a particularly compatible web browser. Firefox is my go-to if there seem to be glitches.
Treasury Direct actually warns you that Chrome and Microsoft Edge don't work for saving inventory.
However, there may be one difference from what other people have been doing. I don't try to save the inventory as HTML, I use Safari's "Save as... Web archive" feature. I've been doing that forever. (DEFINITELY since 2018 but I think earlier than that...)
Firefox and probably most other browsers offer a similar feature--actually Firefox was one of the first to offer it: "Save as... Web Page (complete)."
I have no idea what the technology behind "web archive" files is and whether it's the same across different browsers. It's one more thing to try.
*And it was heavy use! Last year I had my spouse redeem a paper savings bond, titled using WITH and my name first, going into the bank without me, just to make sure they actually knew what to do. To test whether they could, as promised, redeem them. And to test my belief that co-owned bond can be redeemed by either co-owner without any involvement by the other. As a result, I wanted to update the inventory, and I noticed there were some typos and that the list was not in chronological order... and the only way to fix it was to start over from scratch. My spouse was in and out in ten minutes, and said that the twenty-something teller seemed to know exactly what to do, didn't blink an eye, didn't need to call anyone else to ask about it.
