Congratulations!Update to my situation.. I'm planning on retiring at 60. Have surpassed 500k with the help of Google, Apple and Microsoft among others... really benefitted from S&P 500 etf... staying long and not selling has helped so much..
Most teachers I know are in pretty good pension systems such that they are able to live off their pensions. Any external investments become extra space for discretionary expenses.
(Contrast that to many of us here whereby, other than a meager SS payment, the investment portfolio will be relied upon for required expenses).
