Retired physician. 30 years ago, state investigators asked me to testify against a local doctor for billing fraud and other issues. When the state case simply “went away,” I was sued for libel by the physician. The state prosecutors were nowhere to be found. The defense cost $30000 way back then, before the case went away without settlement. Umbrella to the rescue.
