The math almost never makes sense for the Premium Rewards Elite vs the Premium Rewards ($95 card). The $95 card comes with a yearly $100 airline credit, so if you can use that, it's free. The Elite card is $550/year and comes with $300 airline credit and the $150 streaming credit. Assuming you use all of those it still is $100/year. I don't see the point in the extra amount here + keeping track of all the credits over the PR (non-elite).
With regard to Amex Gold vs CSR it really depends on what you do, but for most people Amex Gold is an easy proposition because as I told P2, it's the 'food' card. It's 4x on restaurants and groceries. For many people (after taxes, housing, and insurance (maybe medical)) it's usually your biggest spending categories. On top of that the Gold comes with easy to use credits that effectively drop the fee to very low. However, if this is too complicated for you or you don't like the transfer partners, it can change what you may want to do. A lot of people are now interested in the RH 3% Visa card coming out. I was going to recommend also looking at Venture X or Citi line up (which contains multiple cards, but only one fee of $95).
