There are three other tools that I use with various degrees of success:

1. Fidelity Analysis. If you have a Fidelity account, then you probably already know this tool. One can enter outside investments easily and toggle on/off their inclusion/exclusion. You will have to think of proxies for some things, but you should be able to live with such thngs. The Analysis is similar to what M* Portfolio Manager produces especially if you ask for a PDF report.

2. Vanguard Portfolio Watch. If you have a Vanguard account, then .... Very similar to Fidelity.

3. Schwab Portfolio Checkup. Once again, one can add outside investments manually and toggle on/off their inclusion/exclusion yada yada yada ....

In my hands all 3 of the above produce IDENTICAL results which I find is a useful check that I entered all the same info into each.

Finally, if an investment cannot be entered into the above or a good proxy cannot be found then that is a good indication that I don't want it and should get rid of it. :)
I paid for PlanVision and loaded their eMoney tool. Results are identical to the Fidelity tool. It’s nice to see consistent results across multiple tools.
Then I use TPAW on how much to spend and target AA.
Using tools that align helps me stay away from gut feel paranoia and believe in the math.
