Also, TTTXX is the way to go if you don’t need FDIC insurance.
I see lots of chatter here about TTTXX. If I read it correctly, the current yield is about 5.17% with a 0.17% expense ratio, so around 5.0%

Merrill Edge Preferred Deposit APY is 4.92%.

So is TTTXX worth it? The main downside is the lack of immediate liquidity, right?
Expense ratio is taken out of the fund so the 5.17% is net of fees.

Depends on your definition of immediate. If you place your order before 1:45pm ET on a trading day, the funds are immediately available to transfer out.
Got it, thanks for the clarification. Maybe I'll check out TTTXX to see if it's worth my time. I just spoke with my Merrill Edge relationship manager about how I hate cash management at Edge. Fidelity seems to automatically put cash in a money market fund at 4.97% right now.
TTTXX is nice too since the yield is usually over 90% exempt from state/local income taxes.

I often sell some TTTXX before 1:45pm ET and get immediate access by transferring to my BoA checking.
