depends on your bracket. But personally definitely anyone in the 32, 35, and 37 bracket. If you make that much in retirement you've won the game
I am in those higher brackets and can schedule out my income in every year for the next 20 years. In 19 of those years I remain in the top brackets (good problem to have)
. I do have 1 year coming up that puts me in a smaller 22% bracket. In that year I will do a backdoor but other years with higher income make no sense to me. I think most here have the ability to schedule out their taxable income by the years and Ive found that very helpful in deciding. Now if the top tax levels increase I might have wished I converted earlier.
