I am in those higher brackets and can schedule out my income in every year for the next 20 years. In 19 of those years I remain in the top brackets (good problem to have)depends on your bracket. But personally definitely anyone in the 32, 35, and 37 bracket. If you make that much in retirement you've won the game
. I do have 1 year coming up that puts me in a smaller 22% bracket. In that year I will do a backdoor but other years with higher income make no sense to me. I think most here have the ability to schedule out their taxable income by the years and Ive found that very helpful in deciding. Now if the top tax levels increase I might have wished I converted earlier.
