Ok, let's go 1 layer deeper.

WHY do you like the TV series so much that you watch it 3 or more times?
The characters, the writing, the plot, the setting, something else?
I've been thinking the same thing. I'll start with my favorite.

"The Americans"
  • Premise: A Russian spy couple living among us as "Americans" and doing suburban activities and running a travel agency by day, seducing/compromising Americans by night
  • Setting: an inspired location -- a Northern Virginia suburb next to the nation's capital and as happenstance would have it, living next door to a FBI counterintelligence agent
  • Characters, cast, acting: all excellent, especially Keri Russell, and some unforgettable secondary characters
  • Diverse and fascinating subplots
  • Family complications actually relevant to the plot and adding both suspense and dark humor
  • The intrigue involved in maintaining double lives - disguises, multiple personas, special technologies allowing secret communications with Moscow
